Something for the fellas…installment 1

New category of post!!! The idea for this category came to me for 2 reasons:

1) The boy totally reads my blog and I would like him to have some eye candy for himself.

HIIIIIII HONEY!!! – winky winky winky face.

2) I completely struggle with figuring out what to get boys. I figure you might have the same head scratching moment when shopping for the men in your life so I’d like to share my discoveries with you (smile).

I mentioned that I was really excited about the V-day gift for my bf and broski…well this is what I got them and what you should totally get any sneaker-head in your life.

NOTE: they ship from Switzerland and are made to order; so be sure to allot enough time for that. The shipping took about 10 days. Totally reasonable turnaround for something so specially made, but worth noting for us last minute shoppers.

Also NOTE: They are really teeny which worked out for me b/c neither bro or bf are huuuuge on sweets, but wanted to manage expectations b/c the pics I think make them seem larger. They are about the size of 3 Hersey Kisses I would say.

I found this idea on re-nest.com. My boy is totally into riding HOWEVER, I would never deign to choose something for his bike b/c he is super super particular. But, for perhaps your normal biking boyfriend/brother/father/friend this could work.

Speaking of sophisticated….how about a tie!?

Sadly friends these ties are not for sale. The designer never mass produced them.

BUT! I think it is an exceptionally awesome DIY gift! I think I’m going to make a couple for my dad for father’s day and maybe even for my bro, I think they’ll appreciate wearing one of these guys while attending some boring thing where they have to wear a tie….they both are still totally into popping bubble wrap and I have a ton saved for shipping purposes; all I’ll need to do is a quick trip to thrift shop to get some schnazzy ties :). Yay! Another green gift!!!
