What I Wore-Goodbye Spring!

Ok, so it went from 0 to 90 degrees in no time flat in NY so it might be time I say so long to transitional weather and jump right into Summer. Also since Memorial Day in the U.S. is the unofficial start to summer here I thought no better time to say farewell to the outfits that didn’t make it to the blog this Spring season.

My favorite sweater.

(sweater-barney’s warehouse sale; jeans-ny&co skinny; tee-alternative apparel; sandals-target)

This is my go to outfit in transitional weather. My fave tee you might know (post here), but the sweater you haven’t quite met, I loooove this sweater. I’ve mended it I don’t even know how many times. It’s super cozy and lovely and also known as my flying squirrel sweater.

See?! Totally flying squirrel (tee hee Jenn) and I love it! Bye sweater!! See you in the fall!

This Spring also marked my love and trials with my dearest Knicks.

(blazer-target; ewing jersey-bf; boots-urban outfitters)

The Knicks made the playoffs this year which was a big deal and despite them being swept I am proud of my team. You can see more Knicks outfits here, here, and here. The Dallas Mavericks (go Mavs!) and the Miami Heat are in the finals now, so till next season my dearest Knicks!

Easter outfit.

(jacket-gap via buffalo exchange; dress-nordstrom off the rack; shoes-aldo circa 2005(!))

Easter is a really fun event in my family. I did do a happy Easter post to you (here) but I’m pretty bummed I didn’t get to share the day with you friends, so here is my quick summary of Easter:

  • I made an awesome Nutella bread pudding. I would’ve took a picture of it but the plate was wiped clean before I could even get a piece! My large family is not shy with food. Recipe here.
  • Easter hunt for adults and children rocked the house.
  • I ate too much.
  • The Knicks lose to the Boston Celtics :(.

Well, that is the cutting room floor of my Spring season, friends.

Good bye Spring! Till next year.

That sweater is totally up my alley. I would buy it and it would become a staple. In fact, it’d probably never go on a hanger. It would forever be around the house because I’d forever be wearing it! Love it!

Well, at least the Knicks lost to your dear friend Marissa’s team, right? πŸ˜‰ I love your flying squirrel sweater. I would have called it batwing, but flying squirrel is so much better. That nutella bread pudding sounds incredible. Maybe I’ll try making it with Lactaid milk and see if my stomach can handle it. And even if it can’t, some things are just work a stomach ache!

I too love oversized, comfy sweaters! There is no feeling like snuggling into a big sweater on a chilly day. You look absolutely adorable and one can see the joy brimming in your face. I love the ikat print dress as well, reminds me of the beautiful collections by Dries Van Noten.

How cute are you? Love this post! And I love that you have a team. I’m so far gone when it comes to sports, I haven’t a clue. I went to a lot of different games (namely baseball, football and some hockey) growing up because my dad’s a sports nut – which, by the way, he’s from Mass so he’s a big Celtics fan, haha – but the only sport I’ll ever actually watch on TV is tennis! I don’t know why, I just can’t follow the others.

Anyway! It looks like you had a lovely spring. And I friggin’ love your squirrel sweater!

Huge, over-sized sweaters are the best! So comfy.

Love the second outfit, too. I would have never thought a jersey could go so well with a blazer and boots!
