Help Provide Relief for Japan

Thank you to Marissa from The Well-Appointed Catwalk for sharing these prints from The Poster Cause Project.

I honestly had a whole other post drafted and written out for today but I really felt I could not go on without saying something and doing something for the tragedy that has struck Japan.

In the Huffington Post’s article, “How to Help Japan,”  there is a great list of organizations where you can donate. The Huffington Post also includes a description of the different responses and how the various organizations have mobilized aid to Japan.

But here are some easy TEXT MESSAGES you can send out right now to donate and help provide relief to Japan:

  • The Red Cross has already launched efforts in Japan. Visit Redcross.org or text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 from your phone.
  • International Medical Corps is responding to the health needs of the disaster’s victims. To donate or learn about other ways you can contribute to its medical response, visit Internationalmedicalcorps.org. Also, text MED to 80888 from any mobile phone to give $10. Nancy Aossey, President & CEO, International Medical Corps said in a statement:

“We are putting together relief teams, as well as supplies, and are in contact with partners in Japan and other affected countries to assess needs and coordinate our activities.”

We have all seen the frightening images and I really could not bear to post them here. All the above are from The Poster Cause Project’s Japan Earthquake Relief Prints, these are just a handful of images, all the prints are stunning and 75% of the profits go to Doctor’s Without Borders’ efforts in Japan- prints are $15.
