The Zion Project is an organization that aims to heal and empower war-effected women and girls in Africa; Imani is their store. I completely fell in love with all the bright colors in so many of their necklaces.
These women are paid fair trade wages and many of the necklaces use recycled paper, sorted by color and then meticulously made into beads. So theses pretty pieces are also green :). Click image below to find out more about the beads.
Sarita Hartz, the founder of The Zion Project, is really doing wonderful things by providing women and girls with counseling, safe houses, vocational education and a means for an income. Click image below to find out more about The Zion Project’s amazing work.
So if you find yourself looking for some bright accessories for this spring and (oh please come soon) summer, stop by Imani. Happy shopping for more, friends 🙂
Also check out The Compassion Fashion Project. Meredith is such an inspiration to me not just because she is passionately spearheading for her cause but also for her kind words and all the incredible stories she features on her blog.
