Guest Post! : Reworking with Meredith

Friends, I love bloggers that are able to restyle and re-purpose things you already own and Meredith from yours, mine & ours is basically a mega super guru at these things. And while I have ideas and a bag full of clothes with intentions to restyle Meredith is pushing out restyle after restyle.

I showed you my recent winning from Meredith’s fantastic  freepile yesterday and she so kindly offered to do an easy restyle for my readers. My sewing machine has been broken since my last move (saaaad) so I requested something that would be true to what I’d be able to do for you guys and Meredith, kindly obliged.

So friends, I give you the ever so bubbly and bright Meredith.

Hey! It’s Meredith from yours,mine & ours.
I’m here to share a super quick freepiled rework with you all.
So here we go:

Here’s a super simple way to take your fall/winter shirts into spring/summer:
Try on your shirt and decide how short you’d like the sleeves to be.
Add two inches to that (for hem allowance) and then chop them off.
After cutting, flip your shirt inside out, fold over your sleeves twice and pin them into place.
Then sew w/ a machine or by hand around the new cuff.
Flip right side out and admire your extreme handiwork
Bam! In three simple steps you’re feeling cooler, more accomplished, and looking good!

Smile: you’ve got skilllls!

Thanks Meredith!!! So happy to have you! Follow her blog HERE and Meredith’s twitter HERE.

So simple and yet so effective! I love it.

Jamillah! I’m not on Twitter because I just can’t figure it out! Seriously. I actually set up an account for my former boss once b/c he wanted to be on Twitter (haha), but neither of us could figure out who was talking to whom, what “#” meant and so on. I know…I’m a really sad case. I’m hoping to get over my fear and cluelessness soon so I can join in on the fun.

Oh and I’ll definitely keep you posted on the Jazz Lawn Party. It looks like they might be doing it in September this year?

And it’s so weird…I’ve been having trouble leaving comments on your blog lately. I think it’s my old ass computer at work that’s giving me the problems with WordPress blogs. So please excuse my absence! Oh and by the way, don’t know if I ever told you, but I’m following you on Bloglovin!

    Wow, that was long.

This is soo cool! I’m a sucker for reworked pieces! I’ve actually been on the hunt for shirts I can cut up. Maybe I’ll have to give this a try! I never wear long button downs anymore so they’re just sitting in my closet.

Gosh, I wish I had the skills to pull something like that off!
