Man, do I love that quote from the legendary late singer Etta James. I also think this is true for everything in life; every book, every idea, every thought, every blog (wink)- you can make it your own.
I got to see Etta James in concert in 2009 and when I tell you that woman was a BRAVE and yes still racy performer I’m not doing her justice. She was a BOLD lady :).
“If I Can’t Have You,” is one of my all time favorite songs. At the time of it’s recording James was dating the talented Harvey Fuqua and I think you can really hear her passion for him in their duet. Listening to it literally still makes my knees weak. PLEASE, wait till Etta James comes in on the second verse…it is EPIC.
