I really love clear home accessories and so have been hording interesting and sturdy clear plastic packaging to DIY for a bit.
I had a ring storage problem, since I wear rings every single day and lots of them… while others have wrist parties I definitely have finger parties! So I wanted to make a ring holder that was pretty, but also was grab and go and this has been working perfectly for me.
What You’ll Need
- Sturdy plastic packaging that has some dips and raised portions.
- Clear thumb tacks or fun gold ones- I tried both and the clear looked better for my bathroom setting.
- Some ribbon or string of your choice. This trim I bought at a thrift store.
- Glue, I used Magna-Tac 809. You can NOT use hot glue on this project.
Let’s Do This!
Take you tacks of choice and stick them to the raised parts. You want them in the raised parts so the ends of the tacks won’t need to be pushed into the wall.
After you stick in all your desired tacks, take your string of choice and glue to either side.
TA DA! You Made It!
I really love this project so much because a lot of these harder plastics are not recyclable. So upcylcing them is definitely saving a long life at a landfill :).
That is such a cute idea! I don’t have a lot of rings, so storing them isn’t hard, but if it was this would be a good option.
Woohoo!!! This is a great DIY friend!!
