Prosperity Candle is a beautiful social enterprise that make gorgeous candles that change people’s lives. In the US they work with women refugees in Massachusetts from Burma and overseas with their Prosperity Catalyst program Prosperity Candle is working with women in Haiti and Iraq to create sustainable businesses for them by candle making candles.
As a B Certified company that is also part of the World Fair Trade Organization and a Green America business, when Prosperity Candle approached me to try their products I was really excited to see if their products are as gorgeous as their mission and I’m happy to say THEY ARE!.
Prosperity Candle sent me two of their most popular items the Boylan Soda Bottle Candle ($15) in Orange Cream and the Bloom Travel Tin ($20) in Awaken.
You know I love a good candle! And Prosperity Candle’s are GREAT ones, so excited to buy a different scent for myself and as a gift for my Mama for Mother’s Day! For me it’s really hard to find a candle that is not overly perfumed while still being a lasting scent and these do it. I keep one candle in my dining area and one in my bedroom the candles are nice and slow burning, beautiful to look at and really fill the rooms in a subtle way that is exactly what I want in a great candle.
I also love that the Prosperity Candle vessels are made to be reused. When I’m thru with the Boylan Soda Bottle Candle it will make an easy drinking glass or a nice bud vase and the beautiful Bloom Tin I’m sure will find a new use holding jewelry in my bathroom or paperclips on my desk.
But what I think truly makes Prosperity Candle products a great gift for Mother’s Day is the message they come with. Every candle comes with a card from the maker.
My Bloom Tin was made by Moo Kho and the Boylan Soda Bottle Candle was made by Htoo, both are refugees making new lives for themselves in the U.S. Prosperity Candle even has a message form on their site so you can send a message to let them know how much you are enjoying their hard work!
I like Mother’s Day gifts to be full of thought and I know my Mama will love to know that her lovely Mother’s Day gift is also helping support a woman trying to make her life better.
